Kumar Chavan (1999) belongs to a single-parent family living in Mumbai. His father died and his mother works as a laborer at the fish dock together with Kumar's brother. He also has two sisters: the elder sister is married and works at the dock too, while the little one takes care of household chores. They belong to nomadic tribes. Most times they can afford just one meal a day.
In 2013 Kumar was enrolled in Sanjeewan Vidyalaya in Panchgani, and has completed his schooling from there. Now he is pursuing a Degree in Hospitality Management from a reputed institute in Mumbai, where he is a curious, inquisitive student, very energetic and active in extracurricular activities.
