Hope is the essence of life that helps us keep up with our inner faith. Hope makes the journey of life easier. Ra was this hope for Imran towards getting a better education, hence a better life. After his father passed away in 2012, Imran lived with his mother and two younger siblings and  his mother works as a maid to take up the family’s financial responsibilities. Recognizing the need for her son to get into a boarding school in order to get quality education and hence a chance for a better future, Imran was enrolled in the Happy Kids Program in 2014.  After joining Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military High School, Pune, Imran showed considerable improvement in his academics. He was very well known as an obedient, active and well-mannered student with a keenness to help others. Curiosity and lifelong learning are the beginning points to discovering your sense of purpose in life. Imran explored playing football, basketball, athletics and learning karate. Imran expressed his desire to become a painter and also was awarded the Art Merit Certificate for securing 8th place in ‘Collage Making’ at the Indian Art National Level Competition. After being suggested a new school with a Functional Literacy course by his counsellor, he was moved to Mumbai where he readily adjusted well and started showing improvement. A total, positive environment for learning optimises the ability of students to learn. It is in a positive environment that a student feels comfortable, the process of learning becomes something that students easily adapt to and look forward to. With Ra providing this opportunity of a positive learning environment to Imran, he transformed into a diligent, cheerful, optimistic and ardent student.
