Anish Shaikh

Anish Shaikh lost his mother when he was just one year old. His father gave him to a friend and left. He came back to sell Anish to a drug smuggler for peddling. Akansha Foundation intervened and convinced Anish’s father to bring Anish back. Anish's father died before he could do so. After careful negotiations, Anish was set free. To help with Anish's education and supervision, the Ra foundation enrolled him in 1st grade in Silverdale High School, Panchgani, through its Happy Days Program. In school, Anish got healthier and showcased talent in technology and arts. He currently lives with a nurturing family of four.
